David Perry is managing director of Perry-Martel International, one of North America’s top executive search, recruiting, and placement firms. He is frequently quoted on trends and issues regarding executive search, recruiting, and HR in leading business publications including the Wall Street Journal, IT World, EETimes, NetWork World, HR Today, and Venture Wire. He has appeared as an executive search and labor market analyst for CBC News World and Report on Business TV.

David is cofounder of the Knowledge Workers Institute of Canada, past vice-chair of the Canadian Technology Human Resources Board, and former board and executive committee member of the Software Human Resource Council. He is Human Resource Policy Advisor to the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance.

He is also the author of Career Guide for the High-Tech Professional: Where the Jobs Are and How to Land Them (Career Press, 2004).

David graduated from McGill University in 1982 with a BA in Economics and Industrial Relations. As a Commissioned Officer, he graduated first in his class and was awarded the Sword of Honor. In 1999, he was recognized as one of the “Top 40 Under 40” Entrepreneurs. He lives in Ottawa with his wife and business partner Anita Martel and their four children. He recruits globally.

As of January 2006 David has negotiated more than $157,000,000 in salaries.

Jay Conrad Levinson is the author or coauthor of the more than 32 books in the biggest series of books on marketing in history. His ideas have influenced marketing so much that today his books appear in 37 languages and are required reading in many MBA programs worldwide.
